Occupational profile

The importance of media is becoming ever greater: no longer do they serve only to inform and entertain – they have long since become part of the organisation of professional and private networks. Media designers are primarily concerned with people, in particular, in developing concrete benefits for people from content and technology.

The Bachelor of Arts in Media Design is thus an excellent point of entry into important media functions.

In advertising and Internet agencies, for example, you work on cross-medial brand management, whilst others from your study groups have come to work in the communication departments of companies on the design of image brochures or interactive learning programmes for employees.

Cultural institutions might need you as designers of multimedia presentations, whereas for research institutions you develop the interfaces of the future.

Our graduates work as employees or freelancers, in small and large teams or even on their own. Depending on their inclinations and the focus of their work, they take on artistic, design or advisory tasks.
