The course responds to demands by business and industry for graduates who are both economists with legal savvy and lawyers with business competence.
The close interweaving of legal and business content in the studies ensures an academic qualification with a practical orientation.
Contract law, the law of obligations, property law, private business law as well as administrative law provide the focus of the first semesters.
At the same time, lectures also cover propaedeutics as well as the foundations of business studies, economics and accounting. The treatment of legal and business language as soft skills is complemented later through international commercial law and through public speaking, negotiating and contract drafting, and the addition of taxation and of management control tools in companies.
Our lectures are for the most part current practitioners and are thus especially suited to conveying content relevant to practice.
The course of studies is FIBAA accredited and recorded a top position in the CHE ranking. It is a member of the Wirtschaftsjuristischen Hochschulvereinigung.the national umbrella organisation in this academic field.
The mathematics bridging course is offered to all officially enrolled first semester students at the beginning of the semester. The schedule is communicated in writing at the time of approval or enrolment.
