Subjects and modules

The interplay of theoretical and practical content is evident in the structure of modules and subjects within the course programme.

Project work characterises the Psychology studies at the RFH, both in the 6-semester and 7-semester course.

Modes of study

The course can be done in full time mode (Full Time = FT) or concurrent with employment (Continuing Undergraduate = CU). The following course programme shows the respective structures of these two variants.

6-semester course, day-time studies (FT = Full Time)

The foci during the six-semester course, in addition to psychology, are:

  1. Semester: Personality psychology and communication training
  2. Semester: Business studies and moderator training
  3. Semester: Train-the-Trainer seminar and in-depth studies of psychology
  4. Semester: Applications of business psychology
  5. Semester: Major strand focusing on personnel psychology or market and media psychology with individual project involving transfer into practice
  6. Semester: Strategic management, organisation diagnostics

The nominal course duration for the full-time mode, including bachelor thesis, is six semesters. There are no fees per se for the internships. Internships are done before or between lecture periods in the semester, with proof of completion required by the end of the 3. semester.

The course fees are 2,520 Euros (equivalent to 6 monthly instalments of 420 Euros).

Students enrolled in this government recognised course are principally entitled to Bafög.

Degree: Bachelor of Science / Wirtschaftspsychologie

7-semester course, concurrent with employment (CU = Continuing Undergraduate)

In the CU studies, lessons units take place on weekdays from 6 PM onwards as well as on Saturdays. Three days a week remain free of lessons.

The RFH has a long tradition of offering this type of study. It is aimed at people in employment, who wish to gain further qualifications without leaving their job. Four modules are geared towards the involvement of professional skills (transfer into practice) Being employed, however, is not a prerequisite. Many students use the available time through the day to earn money or take care of their families.

The nominal course duration, including bachelor thesis, is seven semesters for this mode. There are no fees for the duration of internships. Internships (if required) are done before or between lecture periods in the semester.

The course fees are 2.160 Euros (equivalent to 6 monthly instalments of 360 Euros).

Degree: Bachelor of Science / Wirtschaftspsychologie
